So What?
We commit our crimes for a nameless cause that we try to label as Patriotism. We focus on things that are not important such as materialistic manners, we must learn to stop inflicting such terrible pain onto not only others but ourselves.
We must accept that over our lifetime we will be exposed to terrible things, we will be a part of them, yet we must continue to live our lives.
Though we cannot let ourselves break down from all we have seen and been exposed to, we must fight for what good is left in the world. We need to teach our youth about the world and that tragedy is a part of it, but we need to change how we do this.
Many parts of American society have taken over what pride we used to carry as a nation, and it is important that we teach our children to have pride in what good we do.
Along with exposing them to the scary aspects of our society today, we must teach them to be kinder to each other. When we hurt others, we also hurt our own. We must learn from our past and teach the future what it means to be an American, to have pride in the freedom and good lives we offer, to take care of the world, and to extend onto others what we have been given.
